Samantha Dunn (opens in a new tab) is a senior editor for the Southern California News Group and among its finalists for a 2026 Pulitzer Prize in journalism. The author of the memoirs Not By Accident: Reconstructing Careless Life and Faith in Carlos Gomez, her debut novel Failing Paris was a finalist for the PEN West Fiction Award. She teaches creative nonfiction at Chapman University and the literary nonprofit Writing x Writers. Raised in Northern New Mexico and a graduate of NMSU, she now makes her home in Orange, California.
