In a nod to the state’s fiftieth anniversary stamp depiction of a volcanic neck, the New Mexico centennial stamp made use of the painting Sanctuary by Doug West, which depicts Cerros de Santa Clara and Cerro de Guadalupe, both volcanic necks in the Rio Puerco Valley near the old settlement of Guadalupe. 2012.2025.251.
